• engage appropriately licensed and qualified professionals (such as your builder, cabinetmaker, licensed plumber, licensed waterproofer and certified electrician) to design, measure, certify and install your bathroom; and

Wet areas, electrical and plumbing. Bathrooms are wet areas with specific safety and compliance requirements. Waterproofing, plumbing and electrical work must be designed, carried out and certified by appropriately licensed professionals. Incorrect waterproofing, plumbing or electrical work can cause serious damage, safety hazards and compliance issues. Do not rely on the general figures in this guide for these works, they must be set and signed off by your licensed trades for your specific space.
